Comments:

The Lenstec ClearView 3 is a unique refractive multifocal lens designed with an asymmetrical pattern to help you see clearly at various distances. To achieve its full potential for excellent vision, precise centering of the lens during implantation is crucial. One of the key advantages of the ClearView 3 is its ability to provide superb vision at far, intermediate, and near distances without the need for glasses. In my experience, patients often achieve 20/20 near vision with this lens more frequently than with competing options. It also demonstrates strong performance even with low-contrast print, which can be a significant benefit. The ClearView 3 is available in 0.25 diopter steps, allowing for precise vision correction. However, it's important to note that a toric version for astigmatism is not available. While offering many benefits, a potential drawback of this technology is a higher incidence of ghosting or double vision, particularly around high-contrast print. If this occurs, rotating the lens or even exchanging it might be necessary. Interestingly, simply using reading glasses can often alleviate the ghosting around letters.
