Comments:

The Light Adjustable Lens Plus (LAL+) is a slight modification of the light adjustable lens. This lens provides approximately a extra line of reading vision compared to the original Light Adjustable Lens. It has a high probability of achieving crisp 20/20 far vision and good intermediate range vision. Reading glasses are usually still necessary for small near print with the LAL+. There is a theoretical slight increase in potential dysphotopsias with this lens, although it is usually very mild. Like the original LAL, following your eye's complete healing after surgery, your surgeon can precisely refine your refractive error, including astigmatism, using RxSight's innovative Light Delivery Device (LDD). This process involves a series of in-office light treatment sessions, meticulously fine-tuning the lens power to optimize your vision. Once the desired vision is achieved, the lens power is permanently "locked" to ensure long-term stability. While offering unparalleled precision, it's important to consider some aspects of the LAL. The technology is associated with a higher overall cost and requires a greater number of post-operative visits for the adjustment process. Furthermore, while highly effective, the LAL is not perfect, and for various individual reasons, not every patient will achieve flawless 20/20 vision. Discuss with your surgeon if the Light Adjustable Lens is the right option to achieve your vision goals.
